The Lords of Pain Wrestling (LPW) Pure Wrestling Championship is a professional e-wrestling championship. It is the third highest ranked championship on the Pyromania brand of Lords of Pain Wrestling.
History[]
After successfully defending the LPW Television Championship at the Pyromania pay-per-view, One Way Ticket, Atlas Adams joined The Anarchists on the Insanity brand and left Pyromania in the process. As a result, Pyromania was without its third highest-ranked championship. To compound the situation, after Pyromania 18.1, the LPW International Heavyweight Championship was the only title which was held by a Pyromania superstar (Tromboner Man), while the LPW Western States Heritage Championship was vacant, and all other LPW championships were held on Insanity.
With Pyromania championships depleted to a level never before seen, at Pyromania 18.2 on June 8, 2011, CEO Damion Kross commissioned a new championship named the LPW Pure Wrestling Championship, which would serve to best represent the pure aspects of technical wrestling.
The inaugural champion was decided at Pyromania 18.3: Resurrection between Kaiser Kidd and Jeff Watson, where Watson reigned supreme.
Golden held the title after defeating Daniel Purser in the main event of Vertigo, November 2012. His reign reached over a year, and in doing so rose the reputation of the Pure Championship.
Rules[]
- Championship matches have a 10 minute time limit
- The Championship can change hands on Disqualification and Count Out
- The Champion can only win through a Pinfall, Submission or Knock Out
- If the time limit is reached, the match is decided on points scored by the commentators. In the event of a tied score, the champion retains.
